- Tour Itinerary
Between 4:20 and 4:50 in the morning, we will pick you up at your hotel, to travel, aboard a group tourist transport, along the South Valley. After two and a half hours, we will arrive at the District of Cusipata (3,310 masl), in the Province of Quispicanchis, where we will have breakfast.
Then, we will continue, aboard our vehicle, along a carriage trail, passing through several peasant communities, such as Japura and Hanchipacha, until we reach the Community of Pampachiri (4,600 masl), where the road ends. There, we will begin the walk, of about 5 km, to the Vinicunca Pass (5,020 masl).
This bridle path gradually climbs up to the pass, in a walk of an hour and a half, during which we will have the opportunity to observe alpacas and llamas and, at the top, we will get to contemplate the famous chain of mountains, and its impressive colors.
In the pass, we will have free time to enjoy the most beautiful panoramic views that Mother Nature offers us, with the Mountain of Colors, which resembles a rainbow, in its shades of pink, whitish, red, green, brown, brown and mustard yellow.
Afterwards, we will descend, through the Red Valley, for about two hours, to reach the starting point of the second part of our walk, through magical places, with beautiful mountains, red in color and, with luck, we will see vicuñas, condors, wallatas (Andean geese), etc., until we return to our mobility that will take us to Cusipata, for lunch.
In the afternoon, we will return to Cusco, where the vehicle will leave us a few blocks from the Plaza de Armas (Main Square), between 6:00 and 7:00 pm.
