Day 01: Soraypampa – Chaullay

Pick up 04:00 am from your hotels. Our transport will take us to Soraypampa (3,900 masl / 12,795 feet), before we will make a stop in Mollepata to have our breakfast and pay an entrance fee of 20 soles to the local municipality, we will begin our walk of approximately 4 hours ascending to the highest pass (4,650 masl / 15,255 feet), we can enjoy the most impressive views of Salkantay (6,272 masl / 20,577 feet) we will continue through the spectacular mountains and observe Humantay and Huayanay. We will also see small ponds of water. After a 4-hour descent, we will arrive at our first camp at Chaullay (2,950 masl / 9,678 ft).

Day 02: Chaullay “The Beach”.

After breakfast, we will walk to the river La playa. On the way we will enjoy a pleasant tropical jungle climate and we will be able to appreciate plantations of coffee, cocoa, coca, bananas and other fruits, including some beautiful orchids. We will make a short stop for lunch in Lluscamayu and continue our walk to the second camp.

Day 03: The Beach – Hydroelectric – Aguas Calientes.

Early in the morning after our breakfast, we will take a local transport to go to Santa Teresa, and then we will continue walking towards “Hidroeléctrica” Here, we will have two options to take the train or walk 3 more hours to reach Machu Picchu we will spend the night in a hotel.

Day 04: Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu) – Cuzco.

After having our breakfast at our hotel, we will take one of the first buses to Machu Picchu. At the point of entry we will present our original document and our tickets to Machu Picchu. The tour is usually about 2 hours, with our guide on the tour you can take photos. To go down, we will use the bus to “Aguas Calientes” and then we will take our train back to Ollantaytambo and continue by bus to Cusco, where you will be dropped off at your hotel.
